Vladimir Ianev
GIS / Mapping Technologist (1994 to Present)
As a mapping technologist with Enviro-Tech, Vlad provides mapping and GIS support for complex survey projects. His responsibilities include full-scale support, from initial job setup, project progression, updates, to job completion.
Prior to his transition to mapping technologist, Vlad worked with Enviro-Tech as a GPS surveyor, buried facility locator and hazard mapper.
Peter Suliman
Shop Manager (2001 to Present)
Peter is responsible for the maintenance and upgrade of all equipment. This includes survey equipment, fleet, wheeled and tracked vehicles, and marine equipment.
During his years at Enviro-Tech, Peter has also handled the purchase of all field supplies; provided logistical support; instructed staff on the safe operation of all-terrain vehicles as a CSC certified instructor; and performed field work in the capacity of both a GPS and conventional surveyor.
Prior to joining Enviro-Tech, Peter completed several courses at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology obtaining a Microsoft Certified Professional Designation.
Willy Chu
Coordinator/Processor/Senior Surveyor (2003 to Present)
Willy has brought to Enviro-Tech his extensive industry experience along with a BSc. in Survey Engineering. As a member of our survey team, he is responsible for project coordination and data processing. Willy has often found himself in the role of mentor to many of our new hires.
Prior to joining Enviro-Tech, Willy served as a senior surveyor for ten years was and was responsible for coordination and processing of data for both GPS and Inertial surveys.
Dave Guttridge
Coordinator/Processor/Senior Surveyor (1990 to 1994 and 2003 to Present)
Dave began his survey career at Enviro-Tech in 1990, where he worked as a tail chainer, rod-man, and eventually as a surveyor. In 1994 Dave took an office job as a survey data auditor before expanding his knowledge overseas.
While working in Bolivia, Argentina, Peru, Suriname, and Oman, Dave oversaw the data processing, mapping, and training of local surveyors. In the spring of 2003, he returned to Enviro-Tech where he lends his expertise in advance work, line construction, mapping, processing, and the implementation of new technologies.
A Seismic Survey Technician diploma rounds out Dave’s educational experience. As well, he proudly states that he is a graduate of the “George and Robert Nelson School of Survey”.
Wade Butt
Coordinator/Processor/Senior Surveyor (2003 to Present)
Wade is responsible for the laying out and processing of all survey data for seismic programs. He also coordinates and delegates survey crews, front-end crews, buried facility locators, and keeps survey crews up-to-date on changing job requirements.
Prior to joining the Enviro-Tech team, Wade received a diploma in Survey Engineering Technology from the Cabot Institute of Applied Arts and Technology and spent 16 years working on various 2D, 3D and 4D programs for the Geophysical Exploration Industry.
Rick Dohlman
Coordinator/Processor/Senior Surveyor (1997 to Present)
In the course of his duties at Enviro-Tech, Rick utilizes both conventional and GPS survey equipment to collect and process survey data. He also is responsible for line- cutting and chaining crew supervision.
Rick’s industry experience includes work on various 2D, 3D and 4D seismic programs across Canada, Africa, Central America, and Southeast Asia. In all of these diverse locations, he was responsible for the training and supervision of local workforces.
Troy Nelson
Mapping Technologist/Advanceman/Hazard Survey Specialist (1989 to Present)
For over 20 years with Enviro-Tech, Troy has served as a rover, buried facility locator, and coordinator of hazard surveys on large-scale projects. He also maintains contact with both field representatives and landowners during the buried facility locate process.
Over the duration of his career, Troy has kept up-to-date on industry standards by completing a variety of seismic-specific courses.
Mark Smith
Senior Surveyor/Processor (1992 to Present)
As a senior surveyor and data processor, Mark is responsible for job preparation, coordinating, buried facility locating, survey control, and data processing for 2D, 3D and 4D programs.
Prior to joining Enviro-Tech, Mark worked as a senior surveyor, line push and permit agent. He has completed a variety of industry-related courses, including GPS, data processing, and seismic-specific safety courses.
Chad Brittain
Senior Surveyor / Processor (1997 to Present)
In 1997 Chad joined the Enviro-Tech team in the position of GPS Rover. Each passing year has seen Chad undertake new challenges whether it be participating in Enviro-Tech's ongoing safety program or continually taking on new responsibilities with the diligence and dedication of a true leader. Chad has experience in roving, chaining, pipe locating, saw and gyro push as well as a navigator for marine surveys.
Enviro-Tech is excited to announce Chad’s 2010 promotion to Senior Surveyor/Processor. This promotion will add diversity to Chad's ever growing repertoire of skills.
