The unique water well identification number links all features between the data sets. If no information is available for a portion of a data set, you will only be charged for those well records in the data set that contain the information that you requested.

Surficial GeologySurficial geology shows what material is encountered initially on the surface and can range from glacial till to gravel deposits. Maps can be ordered showing the surficial geology of most areas of Alberta. |

Drift thickness (Glacial Valleys)Drift thickness shows the extent of glacial overburden over bedrock. This can alert geophysicists to potentially bad seismic data areas. Maps indicating these areas as well as pre-glacial valleys are available for Alberta. |

Flowing Shot Hole product lineA flowing shot hole is a drilled (seismic) hole that has entered an underground water source that has sufficient pressure to cause the hole to "overflow". These maps typically depict near-surface aquifers and problem areas for drilling and are available for the majority of Alberta. The sample map at the right represents all the flowing holes in a county. |
