This was an international project where a client spent over a year trying to find out why the data for their surveys were not fitting to the real world and eventually came to us for help. After a week of research we discovered that the data was not a local system but were actually transverse mercator co-ordinates with the leading digits chopped off for reasons unknown. Once this was determined, the data fit perfectly to their seismic information.
